NYPD Officer Who Combines Compassion with Crime-Fighting
Is Named Finalist in AMW All-Star Contest
March 31, 2009 – A New York City cop with a big heart has been chosen by the public as a finalist in the 2009 AMW All-Star contest, sponsored by Sprint. The contest recognizes outstanding achievements by first responders. Members of the public who voted at the America’s Most Wanted website, AMW.com, recognized Officer Susan Porcello’s humanity in a job that often calls for emotions to be put aside.
Officer Porcello has been with the NYPD since 1998. Last July, she responded to a 911call from the residence of an elderly man who was ill. Gasper Musso had no family or friends, but after assisting him, Officer Porcello changed that. Not only did she open her heart to him, but for the next six months, she and her partner provided Mr. Musso with the things he needed to care for himself. And when she learned that he was a retired U.S. Marine, Officer Porcello was determined not to let his service to our nation be forgotten. When Mr. Musso died in November, 2008, Officer Porcello and her partner made sure he received full military burial privileges. In addition, she provided for his wake, the mass and burial at her own expense. Officer Porcello received the Public Servant of the Year Award from Little Italy Merchant Association (LIMA), and the Rocco Laurie Memorial Award for outstanding police work for her demonstration of compassion and dedication to Gasper Musso in Life and Death. She recently was also given THE SHIELDS of Long Island award for Police Officer of the month for her ability, courage and understanding, which have won the respect, confidence and admiration of her fellow police officers.
Susan Porcello becomes the sixth of eight weekly finalists chosen by the public in this year’s AMW All-Star Contest. Any first responder, such as police, firefighter or EMT, is eligible for the contest, and any member of the public can nominate and vote for their favorite first responder online at AMW.com.
Each weekly finalist will be profiled on America’s Most Wanted (Saturdays, 9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT on FOX). Through their online votes, the public will choose the grand-prize winner. In May, AMW Host John Walsh will present the 2009 AMW All-Star winner with a check for $10,000 at the NASCAR SPRINT Cup Series™ All-Star Challenge at Lowe’s Motor Speedway in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Nominations are open at AMW.com until April 4, 2009. Members of the public may vote for their favorite first responder once a day, every day. Finalist voting runs through April 12, and the grand-prize winner voting will run April 16-May 5.

America's Most Wanted update 02-28-09
Are you interested in some of the cases America's Most Wanted is covering? Do you want to know the latest update? Just click on the name for more details.
Devon Russell: Smuggling drugs, weapons and illegal aliens is big business along U.S. shores. In South Florida, federal, state and local law enforcement are taking on smugglers; since 2005, more than 30 innocent men and women have died at sea near Florida's coastline as a result of smuggling. Cops are now searching for a key player in the ring, Devon Russell.
Henry Pierre: Just days after an AMW tipster led the Royal Bahamian Police to suspected smuggler Henry Pierre, reports from the Bahamas say that the accused killer and alien smuggler was set free, but rearrested a short time later. The fugitive's initial release came as a complete surprise to cops in Florida, as U.S. officials were working vigorously to extradite Pierre to face charges on American soil.
Rosa’s Story: Rosa is a composite of several real women, just a few of the 50,000 people a year who are smuggled into the U.S. and treated as slaves. These victims of human trafficking are forced into a variety of exploitative situations including prostitution and hard labor. The Trafficking Victims Protection Act of 2000 was designed to protect these victims as well as to prosecute human traffickers.
Patricio Sosa: Human trafficking is an awful crime, but for some it's big business -- and the FBI says when the Cadena-Sosa family saw there was money to be made, they jumped right in. Patricio Sosa was one of the ringleaders of an operation that imported women and children from Mexico and forced them into prostitution in Florida, according to agents -- and now law enforcement wants to put the brakes on this alleged trafficker.
Craig Oliver: When AMW last told you about scammer Craig Oliver, nearly a dozen tipsters recognized him as Danny Sullivan, a construction foreman in Phoenix, Ariz. But police say Oliver was able to slip away before the law enforcement dragnet scooped him up, and they need your help to track him down.
Rafael Cadena-Sosa: Like many young men, FBI agents say Rafael Cadena-Sosa went into the family business. Unfortunately, in his case that business was human trafficking and prostitution, reports the FBI. Sosa-Cadena and his brothers were allegedly part of a ring that imported women and children from Mexico and forced them into prostitution.
James Reimer: Cops in Oklahoma are looking for 40-year-old James Joseph Reimer, who they say took off with 14-year-old Deborah Kalai Fourzan; detectives believe Deborah is in danger because before they disappeared, Reimer sent text messages to Deborah soliciting sex.
Carmela Cadena: Imagine being kidnapped from your home country, held captive in the U.S., and forced to work as a prostitute. This is the fate of thousands of women and children who are smuggled into the U.S. every year -- and the FBI says they're kept in line by women like Carmen Cadena, member of a family that's alleged to run a major human trafficking and prostitution enterprise.
Deborah Fourzan: Cops in Tecumseh, Okla. are desperately looking for leads that will help them find 14-year-old Deborah Kalai Fourzan, an Oklahoma teenager who went missing on Feb. 2, 2009 and may be in danger.
Haleigh Cummings: Police in Florida have announced that they do have a sexual predator in custody who lived just a mile from missing 5-year-old Haleigh Cummings. But, investigators say the man had nothing to do with the disappearance.
Adji Desir: Adji Desir, a 6-year-old developmentally disabled Florida boy, has been missing since Saturday, Jan. 10, 2009. Police need your help to bring him home to his family.
Tangena Hussain: On October 2, 2008, 24-year-old Jamrul Hussein was driving to the local mall to pick his girlfriend up. He had her daughter, Tangena Hussain, in the car at the time. On the way to the mall, Jamrul made a quick pit stop at a nearby gas station, but what happened next is a parent's worst nightmare.
Marlon Lopez: Officials say that Marlon Iverzander Lopez has been evading the law for years. With a criminal history involving charges of drug trafficking, fraud, sexual abuse, and molestation, the FBI is looking to put Lopez where he belongs -- behind bars.
Pedro Fajardo: Cops say Pedro Ulloa Fajardo visited his common-law wife on the evening of October 15, 2008 to hash out some differences that had been complicating their relationship. What cops know now is that Fajardo had no intention of mending their relationship -- he intended to end it forever. Now, Fajardo is on the run and police are hot on his trail, but could use your help tracking him down.
Erica Smith Killer: It's been six long years since 14-year-old Erica Smith was murdered in Northern Virginia -- but questions still plague Erica's family. Who is responsible for tearing their family apart, and why? And most importantly, when will they be brought to justice? Cops continue to work Erica's case, hoping a key clue and some old-fashioned detective work may finally bring this case to an end and help Erica's family find peace.

Glen Holmes Jr.: Conroe, Texas Police say Glen Holmes Jr. carjacked Barry Thomas, before fatally shooting him in the back. Holmes then proceeded to hold up the drive-through, demanding tacos to go, before leading cops on a high-speed chase.
Michael Bresnahan: He's accused of breaking into a house in a quaint New England town and raping a 61-year-old retiree. But after a year on the run and a manhunt that included six states, Michael Bresnahan's run from justice has ended. AMW spoke to his alleged victim, police and the tipsters who turned him in on the opposite side of the country, in Oregon.
Unknown Tammy Vincent Killers: Almost 30 years have passed since police were called to an isolated beach 20 miles north of San Francisco to investigate a grisly murder scene that centered around the charred remains of a teenage Jane Doe. For years, cops tried to identify the girl and figure out the events surrounding her death, but it wasn't until AMW lent a helping hand that parts of the puzzle began to fit together. Authorities now know that the murdered girl -- 16-year-old Tammy Vincent -- was the girl embroiled in the middle of a state's case against a sleazy Seattle strip club whose owners, cops believe, had her killed for the things she knew.
Unknown Shannon Paulk Killer: AMW recently teamed up with Pauley Perrette, the star of the prime time crime drama NCIS, to help investigators solve the murders of two young girls: Shannon Paulk in Prattville, Ala., and Raven Jeffries in Detroit. Perrette was touched by Shannon's story because of her own family ties to the Prattville area, so she donated a $10,000 reward to help catch Shannon's killer.
Unknown Raven Jeffries Killer: In August 2006, 7-year-old Raven Jeffries was playing outside of her home in Detroit, Mich., when she was kidnapped. Just days after her disappearance, police say that her burned body was found in a field in a neighboring town. Now, AMW is teaming up with Pauley Perrette from the hit crime drama NCIS to help solve the case. Pauley feels a special bond with Raven's case because her boyfriend, Michael, grew up near where the little girl was abducted. The actress has donated $10,000 reward to help find the person who killed Raven.
Lisa Williamson Killer: Actress Pauley Perrette, from the hit show "NCIS," has helped America's Most Wanted hunt two child killers. Now, she's turned to AMW to ask for help in solving the murder of her friend, Lisa Williamson.

Haleigh Cummings: Cops say missing girl Haleigh Cummings' father and his 17-year-old girlfriend have voluntarily taken polygraphs, but police aren't releasing results. Unknown Rory Forehand Killer: While attending a Harlem support group over the death of his sister, Helen Hill, Jake found that there were countless other families who suffered the same horrible pain. That's why he sought out the help of AMW, again, to find the person who murdered a man he'd learned so much about but never even met.

Are you interested in some of the cases America's Most Wanted is covering? Do you want to know the latest update? Just click on the name for more details.
Darryl Crenshaw: Deputy U.S. Marshals say accused Connecticut girlfriend-killer Darryl Crenshaw slipped into Mexico to escape from authorities. But an AMW tipster remembered seeing that familiar face in a Mexican jail -- and helped take Crenshaw down.
Marjan Rroku: When two teenage Albanian sisters met Marjan Rroku at a Bible study group, they thought he was a great guy. But five years later, he had taken the life of one sister and sent the other fleeing to the US. After a close encounter on a Washington D.C. Metro train, police fear the killer is in pursuit again.
Paul Buford: Deputy U.S. Marshals in Detroit say they're hot on the trail of an elusive gang member, wanted for his role in the upper echelon of the Black Mafia Family criminal organization. Paul Buford has a long, violent criminal past, and he's the only fugitive not yet captured as a result of the DEA's first wave of national BMF arrests.
Jose Sastre-Cintron: Police say when a man known as Jose Sastre-Cintron proudly flashed his gun at a house party in Harrisonburg, Va., people knew there'd be trouble. But no one could have guessed just how much: before the melee was through, cops say Sastre-Cintron would shoot an 18-year-old girl, steal a car, and disappear into the night.
Greg Adrian: Cops in the City Of Angels are on the lookout for a father accused of physically and sexually abusing his own 12-year-old daughter in November of 2007. When Adrian's daughter blew the whistle on his latest string of abuse, police say he fled to Vegas. Now, Los Angeles detectives believe that Adrian is in the north Las Vegas area and could be traveling in a 1990's, red, 4-door Honda sedan.
Danny Williams: Cops say that Danny Williams shot two unarmed men after a neighborhood barbecue. Now, police need your help to get this armed and dangerous thug off the streets.
Unknown Sandra Brady Killer: It was one of New Mexico's most mysterious unsolved Jane Doe cases: a pair of hikers found a murder victim, buried in a shallow grave in the unforgiving desert. But when AMW brought you the story two weeks ago, a tipster called our hotline and helped cops crack the case. The "Boots" Jane Doe now has a name: Sandra Jean Brady.
Robert Fisher: Cops in Scottsdale, Ariz. say Robert Fisher murdered his entire family and blew up their home to cover his tracks. Police are working a few promising leads and they're re-analyzing some of the physical evidence recovered from Fisher's abandoned getaway to get a better DNA profile.
Unknown Phillip Washington Killer: Dallas money courier Phillip Washington, 50, was brutally killed while he made his last stop of the night a year ago, and his tragic death was caught on surveillance tape. Now, one of his old friends -- a prominent local journalist -- has come to AMW.com to get his family some justice.
Cameron Pitre: According to cops, Cameron Pitre murdered his ex-girlfriend on Nov. 23, 2008. Police say Pitre had become increasingly hostile, and Ashley Hardey, his ex-girlfriend, was very cautious in his company. Despite her wariness, Ashley was murdered when police say Pitre forced his way into Ashley's home and shot her multiple times.
Joey Offutt: When Pennsylvania State Police arrived at the scene of a house fire in Sykesville in the early morning hours of July 12, 2007, they weren't prepared for everything they were about to find. Once the fire was extinguished, some shocking details were revealed, and authorities are still struggling to answer all the questions left over from that day.
Liza Gonzales: Liza Monica Gonzales, also known as Liza Campos, is wanted for drug trafficking, as well as murder. She may be in Oklahoma or California, and police consider her extremely dangerous. Call 1-800-Crime-TV if you have seen her.

Tempe Bank Robbers: For two nights in October 2007, two Arizona families fell prey to a trio of bank-robbing bandits. Both times, the suspects had one thing on their minds: using the victims to gain entry to the banks in which they worked. In the Tempe incident, the plan paid off, and the cash-rich culprits got away with nearly $400,000 -- the biggest robbery payday in Arizona history.
Ahmet Gashi: Kemal Kolenovic was a New York welterweight champion who took one hit from which he'd never recover on New Year's Eve 2006. Cops say a vicious foe, Ahmet Gashi, came at Kemal with some heavy armor, and he's been on the run ever since.
Yasmin Acree: Yasmin Acree is described as a fun-loving and well-adjusted young girl whose disappearance has stumped police in Chicago. She was last seen in her home, headed to her bedroom after finishing a load of laundry. Cops now say she's disappeared without a trace.
Jean Seraphin: Police say the search for accused killer Jean Seraphin has brought in tips from Miami and Jacksonville, Fla. Now, police want to turn up the heat on Seraphin for what he is accused of doing to two brothers back in April 2002. In fact, detectives want people in New York and Florida to be on high alert for this fugitive.
Unknown Jose Gurley Killer: 17-year-old Jose Gurley was a high school superstar in West Bridgewater, Mass., but when he returned home to Brockton, he was just another kid on the street, fighting for his life. At a party late last month, he lost that battle to a group of gang members shooting blindly into the night. Police locked up a man they say drove the getaway car, but even with almost 75 eyewitnesses to the crime, cops are still searching for the gunman.
Frank Brown: College freshmen are always making new friends, but when a student at Georgia State University started hanging out with fellow freshman Frank Brown, cops say it nearly cost him his life.
Sherry Halligan: In late January 2003, Sherry Halligan allegedly murdered her former boyfriend. Unfortunately, after being let out on bail, Halligan apparently changed her mind about coming clean.
David Mancha: David Simon Mancha is wanted for two counts of Aggravated Sexual Assault; police believe he is still in Texas.
Tina Loesch: After years on the run, the saga of Tina Loesch and her lover, Sky Hanson, ended hours after AMW aired their story on Nov. 15, 2008. While the couple took their own lives in what cops are calling a suicide pact, the investigation is far from over as authorities in three states search for Kristopher Loesch.
Skye Hanson: After years of running from the law, the murder saga of Tina Loesch and her lover, Skye Hanson, came a close hours after AMW aired their story. On Nov. 15, 2008, the pair were found dead in an SUV outside Tucson, Ariz. and cops are calling the deaths a suicide pact.

Lindsay Harris, Jessie Foster, Jodi Brewer, and Misty Saens: On May 23, 2005, police outside of Springfield, Ill., made a shocking discovery when they arrived at a crime scene and found a pair of severed legs. For three years, the Illinois State Police diligently worked the Jane Doe case, and their hard work paid off in May 2008 when an FBI report and a DNA comparison helped to identify the victim as missing person Lindsay Harris.
Tina Loesch and Skye Hanson: In 1998, Barbara Loesch was electrocuted and drowned in her hot tub. Two years earlier, her husband was gunned down while working his morning paper route. Cops believe their daughter and her gay lover may have been behind both deaths -- both for revenge, and for $525,000 in life insurance.
Jacqueline LeBaron: The search for Jacqueline Tarsa LeBaron has continued for years, but agents have not given up the search. In fact, a new picture of the fugitive has surfaced, heating up the hunt for the woman Feds are calling a vicious killer.
Sarah Pender: Since her expertly-executed prison escape on August 4, 2008, officials have been hot on the trail of Sarah Pender. Now, after a few short months on the lam, U.S. Marshals Service officials have turned up the heat on Pender, and she's the newest addition to their notorious 15 Most Wanted Fugitives List.

Candido Peraza
Cops in Ontario, Calif. are determined to bring Candido Renteria Peraza to justice for the fatal hit-and-run of 7-year-old Nathan Sitompul. Cops say a drunken Peraza struck Nathan, who was riding his bike at the time. Peraza stopped, but when he saw Nathan struggling to get to his feet, Peraza took off, running over Nathan again.

Humberto Fortanelli
Police say Humberto Fontanelli and his cellmate David Ray escaped from a Fordyce, Ark. prison on New Year's Eve 2007. Cops picked up Shannon Ray four days later, but say that Fortanelli is still on the run. AMW sat down with Ray and got a first-hand look at exactly how the escape went down, and where his co-partner in crime, Humberto Fortanelli, could be hiding out.
Shannon Ray
Dental floss and razors might have gotten David Ray out of jail, but they weren't enough to keep him out. Ray was arrested in the early morning hours of January 4, 2008 by cops in Memphis, Tenn.
Unknown Melissa Witt Killer
On January 13, 1995, cops in Arkansas made a gruesome discovery in the Ozark Mountains: the body of beloved Forth Smith teenager Melissa "Missy" Witt, brutally murdered. Now, John Walsh and the AMW team are working to hunt down a killer.
Unknown Ann Pressly Killer
Cops in Arkansas are searching for the unknown suspect who beat a television anchorwoman to death. Police say the pepper spray was donated by an anonymous donor.
Anthony Forgione
Okaloosa County Sheriff's Deputy Anthony Forgione, 33, was shot and killed by a suspect who had barricaded himself inside a Fort Walton Beach home. Cops say the suspect, Mark Rohlman, was committed for a mental evaluation, but left and hid inside his childhood home with a shotgun. Deputy Forgione entered the home with the Sheriff's Office Special Response Team when he was fatally wounded by the suspect's gunfire, according to police.

America's Most Wanted update 11/01/08
“AMERICA’S MOST WANTED” VISITS THE DARK SIDE
OF THE CITY OF ANGELS
Broadcast from Los Angeles Features Hunt
for Serial Killer Targeting Victims on L.A. Streets
for More Than Two Decades
(October 29, 2008) – Television’s premiere crime-busting show takes viewers into the not-so-glamorous side of Hollywood as AMERICA’S MOST WANTED: AMERICA FIGHTS BACK helps hunt for a truly frightening fugitive in Los Angeles Saturday, Nov. 1 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.
AMW host John Walsh and special guest LAPD Chief William Bratton will share the latest developments in the case of “The Grim Sleeper,” a serial killer who earned his nickname after committing at least 11 violent murders in the 1980s, only to resurface and strike again 13 years later.
Walsh will also take viewers to the mean streets populated by the city’s homeless, and ask them to help solve the brutal and senseless murder of John McGraham. McGraham was a fixture on the streets of L.A.’s Koreatown neighborhood, a man who’d been given a raw deal by life but was making the best of it. The community considered him to be one of their own, and protected him as best they could. In October 2008, someone doused the helpless man with gasoline and set him ablaze, leaving him to die in the streets.
AMW has helped law enforcement capture more than 1000 dangerous criminals. The series is produced by STF Productions, Inc., and Lance Heflin is executive producer.

Johnny Brown: Two men convicted of armed robbery escaped from a Georgia prison and cops say one has a violent history. Since his escape, police say he's already kidnapped one woman at knife-point, and this isn't the first time he's gotten out.
Mongol Raid: Agents from the A.T.F., Las Vegas P.D., L.A. County Sheriff, and Montebello, Calif. police swept into 88 locations in several states in a pre-dawn raid Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2008 as part of a mission against the Mongols motorcycle gang. The notorious Mongols have been called a "criminal syndicate on wheels" by one ATF agent.
Cinthya Rodriguez: Kidnap. Ransom. Murder. They're three crimes linked to the disappearance and death of 45-year-old District Court deputy clerk Orlando Duarte, and cops say his much-younger girlfriend, Cinthya Rodriguez, is responsible.
Joaquin Rios: Kannapolis, N.C. police say a man killed his wife in front of the couple's three children as they begged him to stop shooting their mother.
Unknown John McGraham Killer: It's a murder mystery on the streets of Los Angeles. The LAPD is trying to find out who doused a homeless man named John McGraham in gasoline, set him on fire, and left him for dead in front of a community who loved and adored him.
The Grim Sleeper: For 20 years, a serial killer known as the Grim Sleeper has ravaged California families, killing their daughters, sisters, and mothers. Now, AMW has joined forces with the L.A.P.D. to find this mass murderer.
Unknown Ann Pressly Killer: An Arkansas television anchorwoman found beaten at her home earlier this week has died from her injuries. Hospital officials say Anne Pressly, 26, died Saturday at St. Vincent Infirmary Medical Center. Hospital spokeswoman Margaret Preston says family members declined to release any other details about Pressly's death.
Benny Horton: Cops say Benny Dwayne Horton is responsible for killing two people in a fatal car crash on August 26, 2005. They say he lied to investigators -- making them believe he wasn't the one driving -- and before he could be arrested, he fled.
Abdihakim Isse: Cops say bus driver Abdihakim Mohamed Isse is on the run after sexually assaulting a developmentally disabled teenage girl, the last student to be dropped off on his school bus route.

More than 15 years after a brutal murder, Florida cops have arrested almost everyone who they say was involved in the cold-blooded plot. Leo Cisneros, the accused mastermind, is still on the run, and cops have turned to AMW for help.
Paul Jackson
Police believe that siblings Paul Jackson and Vance Roberts lured teenage girls to a homemade sex-torture chamber they built in the residence they once shared. While Roberts turned himself in and was sentenced to 108 years in prison, Jackson's still wanted, and cops hope AMW viewers can help put him behind bars.
Luann Chase
All over the nation, police officers go into classrooms to talk to students about the dangers of child abusers and pedophiles. In January 2000, Det. James Harpenau says he went into an Evansville, Ind. classroom with a presentation on child abuse -- and left with a case that haunts him to this day.
Bradley Chase
James Harpenau has been a police officer for 26 years and a sex crimes investigator for nine, but the one case that has always haunted him is "the one that got away." Police allege that Bradley "Butch" Chase and his wife Luann sexually abused and molested two children for a number of years, and now, Harpenau wants AMW to put them behind bars for good.

Unknown “Fort Myers Eight” Killer
Detectives recovered a cache of bones from eight men in a wooded area of Fort Myers, Fla. in 2007; now, skeleton "C" has been identified as that of Jonathan Tihay, a Fort Myers man who disappeared in 1995, just short of his 26th birthday. Cops are working to identify the five other victims, and whether or not a serial killer is behind the gruesome mystery. AMW teamed up with a forensic artist to bring the men's likenesses back to life; do you recognize the faces, and can you help break the case wide open?
Kareem Hack
Cops say Kareem Hack offered a woman in dire financial straits $20 to have sex with her young children. She called the police, and they arrested Hack in a high-tech sting operation, but cops say he cut off his electronic ankle bracelet and fled before trial -- and law enforcement needs your help to catch him.

America's Most Wanted update 10-04-08
Are you interested in some of the cases America's Most Wanted is covering? Do you want to know the latest update? Just click on the name for more details.
Unknown Sean Aquitania Killers: On Sept. 14, 2007, Elk Grove School District bus driver, Cathy Snow, witnessed an unforgettable tragedy. At the end of her shift, a man ran alongside her bus with a dying baby in his arms. He handed the child off to a stunned Snow, but it was too late...the 7-month-old baby's injuries were far too severe. Now, authorities in Sacramento, Calif. are on the lookout for two men responsible for the murder of young Sean Aquitania Jr. who was injured during a home invasion robbery that also claimed his father's life.
Julio Guevara-Mejia: Cops in Davis, Calif., say 35-year-old Julio Guevara-Mejia was so rife with misery following the break-up with his girlfriend, who was 17 years younger, that he devised an elaborate plot to exact his revenge. Authorities say Mejia enlisted a 15-year-old to be his accomplice, however, the murderous plot didn't turn out as planned.
The NorCal Rapist: Since 1991, police believe that one man has been responsible for a series of sexual assaults on women across Northern California. He's been dubbed 'The NorCal Rapist' and since his last attack in October 2006, cops have intensified the search for this serial predator.
Pedro Ortiz: Thanks to insider information provided by an AMW tipster, Pedro Ortiz was hauled into police custody on May 29, 2008. The tipster gave police Ortiz's exact location, where authorities say he tried -- unsuccessfully -- to hide from the cops. After seven hours of trying to get him out of the home, he was finally taken down in Lynn, Mass.
Leo Burt: Thirty-seven years ago, the sky lit up in Madison, Wisc. Buildings shook and people 30 miles away could hear the explosion at Sterling Hall. It was the worst case of domestic terrorism until Oklahoma City in 1995. Of the four accused terrorists, three were caught, convicted, and served their time in prison. But one -- Leo Burt -- hasn't been seen or heard from since he fled the scene after the bombing. AMW aired Burt's story in September and you responded by sending in dozens of tips. Many of your tips were promising and one sparked national headlines, but Burt is still on the lam and the FBI needs your help.
Marlow Reynolds: The Texas Department of Criminal Justice found their man -- but it took the help of some highly-trained bloodhounds to sniff Reynolds out of his hiding place.
George Perez: Cops in Baltimore, Md. say a bookkeeper there was not only cooking his employer's books, he was placing bets with his employer's money. Police say 32-year-old George Michael Perez embezzled more than $1 million from the company he worked for in order to fund his luxury lifestyle, but when his plan to beat the charges went up in smoke, he hit the road.
Dane Brooks: Cops in Pennsylvania are reaching out to the public for information on the whereabouts of a Pittsburgh bouncer who they say shot a man to death in a crowded bar. Cops say Dane Brooks, a convicted felon, was working the front door at Mac Can Do's Bar on March 30, 2008 when he produced a gun and shot 22-year-old John Allen in the neck. Police say after the shooting, Brooks pushed his way out of the bar and hasn't been seen since.
Mario Lozano: Cops say gang member Mario Lozano, 21, thought his girlfriend's cousin was too meddlesome. For weeks, tension between Lozano and 17-year-old Isaac Guzman escalated until, cops say, Lozano stabbed his nemesis 37 times in broad daylight in the middle of a busy civic center. Outraged witnesses chased Lozano and provided key photos to police.
Tambra turner: When a relationship goes south, some people cry, some people fight and some couples break up. But when Tambra Turner's husband started spending time with another woman, police say she didn't just get angry: she got homicidal.

Are you interested in some of the cases America's Most Wanted is covering? Do you want to know the latest update? Just click on the name for more details.
Roger McCray: Fort Lauderdale, Fla. detectives are trying to find this fugitive, who they say set his roommate on fire, leaving him to burn to death. There's just one problem: he's used so many identities, they don't know who he really is.
Larry Laudig: Police say Larry Laudig failed to show up for a scheduled court date, and police have no idea where this alleged sex offender could be lurking.
Douglas Adamson Killer: When dismembered body parts began washing ashore in Oregon's idyllic Colombia River Gorge, cops had to not only figure out who their John Doe was, the also had to identify his killer. Luckily, police were able to pull a fingerprint off the victim, a local truck mechanic named Douglas Adamson. Now, police hope AMW viewers can lend information that will help catch his killer.
Leonard Ray Harper: More than ten years have passed since Leonard Ray Harper has fled murder charges and the search is still on. The last lead cops received, in 2005, placed Harper in San Antonio, Texas; police in San Antonio believe their leads have dried up. Authorities hope avid AMW viewers will help revive this case by supplying the information needed to catch this accused killer.
Tommy Halfacre: Carlos Ortiz Orellana was nearly home when confronted with a lethal predicament. Cops say two men, Tommy Halfacre and a friend, planned to rob Carlos as he was parking at his apartment complex. The situation escalated from bad to worse when Halfacre pulled out a gun and shot Carlos in the head. Halfacre's accomplice has been apprehended, however Halfacre is still on the run. Recent sightings place Halfacre in Nebraska, where he is suspected to be hiding with his family.
Chatyn Byrd: Cops say Chatyn Byrd has been a thorn in law enforcement's side for years, racking up a rap sheet which includes armed robbery and various drug charges. But in November 2007, cops say he graduated to a far greater level of criminality, when he pumped four bullets into another man's body, nearly killing him.
Armando Orta: In pictures, he looks friendly, and on paper, he appears accomplished. But behind closed doors, police say Armando Orta is a monster.
Sarah Pender: She served almost six years of a potential 110-year prison term for her role in a double murder, but Sarah Pender decided that enough was enough. On August 4, 2008, police say she broke out of prison -- with the alleged help of a prison guard -- and hit the road. Now, cops need your help to track her down and lock her up again.
Marlow Reynolds: After convicted killer Marlow Reynolds broke out of prison, he has been spotted at a convenience store in West Columbia, Texas. Authorities say you should be on the lookout for a rugged man who may be living in abandoned buildings or in the wilderness.
James Roberts: Police say Toby Roberts had a mission, and he wasn't going to stop until the job was done: cops say he tried to kill his girlfriend, and he was so determined, he used three different tools to finish the job.
Patricia Viola: On the morning of February 13, 2001, Jim says Pat seemed a little agitated. His sister was staying with them, and Pat had been dreading a confrontation about smoking in the house. The discussion didn't go well, but Pat continued her day by going to her son's elementary school, E. Roy Bixby, where she volunteered as a librarian. Her co-workers said she seemed sullen when she first got there, but by the end of her shift seemed much more relaxed. At 11:35 a.m., Pat walked one block back home, talked to her mother on the phone at around noon, and then set the house alarm at 1:11 p.m., and left. She was wearing a green or gray long sleeved sports shirt, jeans, white athletic shoes, and a black cloth winter jacket. This is the last anyone has seen or heard from her.
Jose Rivera: Federal Corrections Officer Jose Rivera was stabbed to death by two inmates as he transported them to their cells on June 20, 2008. Since his death, the 'Jose Rivera Correctional Officer Protection Act' has been introduced in Congress to provide correctional officers with stab-resistant vests.

America's Most Wanted update 09-20-08
Are you interested in some of the cases America's Most Wanted is covering? Do you want to know the latest update? Just click on the name for more details.
New Mexico Escapees: On August 23, 2008, eight prisoners escaped from a jail in southern New Mexico. Although four men have been caught, four are still at large -- including Larry McClendon, a murder suspect. As the manhunt continues, so does the urgency to put the escapees back behind bars.
Luz Diaz: In 2007, cops say 33-year-old Luz Diaz met a 14-year-old boy on an online, multi-player video game called 'Gears Of War.' But police tell AMW that Diaz took the relationship off-line -- seducing the teenage boy and having sex with him in a Motel 6.
David Allen Weir: It was their sophomore year in high school when Victoria Ramirez and David Allen Weir met. While the relationship weathered its share of ups and downs, cops say Weir's drug use and infidelity was finally breaking the pair apart. Victoria told friends that it was over, but before she could break up with Weir, police say he ended things... with murder.
Ariel Patrick: Police say Jamaal Barras, 20, was attacked by two men with a metal rod and a baseball bat -- and they say the assault was caught on tape. Barras died soon after, but suspect Ariel Patrick is still at large, and police say they believe he's fled to Central America.
Matt Serrano: Police tell AMW that for ten years, Martin Orozco Serrano's 12-year-old nephew withstood his uncle's sexual advances. But cops in Oceanside, Calif. say Serrano's cycle of abuse didn't stop there: authorities say he also molested the boy's two younger sisters and another of his nieces.
Darryl Crenshaw: Rev. William Baskerville tells AMW that he has found the strength to forgive the man accused of killing his stepdaughter, Ashley Peoples, before going on the run. Just days after her murder, William says he received a phone call from Darryl Crenshaw, where he apologized for beating and strangling Ashley. William accepted the apology, because as he told his church, "the God Almighty says that vengeance is mine."
Unknown Ramon Lopez Killers: Sometimes, surveillance cameras are they only way police are able to draw clues from crimes. Cops in Newark, N.J. are hoping some clear footage of a vicious murder and robbery at a local liquor store will be good enough for someone to recognize the two thugs they say are responsible and turn them in to face justice.
Courtney Savage: On nights when the moon was full, a Florida family was awakened by the sound of gunshots blasting their home and their cars, the shooter sometimes firing into bedrooms where children were sleeping. Police say the shootings were caught on surveillance tape, and they need your help to find the person responsible.
William Greer: America's Most Wanted has received exclusive new information that may put investigators one step closer to catching accused murderer William Greer.
Marc Bryant: Marc Clifton Bryant's obsession with his 16-year-old roommate led him to use a blowtorch and screwdriver to torture and assault her. Bryant skipped town before his trial, but the jury still convicted him of the heinous crimes -- and police need your help to find him.
Marlow Reynolds: A manhunt is underway outside of Houston, Texas after a convicted killer with nothing to lose broke out of prison. Though he may have been shot during his escape, Marlow Reynolds is still one step of ahead of the Lone Star State posse tracking him down.
Michael Phillips: Detective Michael Smith Phillips was shot and killed while conducting a buy-bust undercover narcotics sting on August 7, 2008 in Virginia. His wife says he served his community selflessly at every turn because he wanted his children to grow up in a community where they didn't have to fear the effects of the violence that emanates from a narcotic-infected society.
Joel Urena: Police say gang member and career criminal Joel Urena is now wanted for questioning in connection with a murder near San Francisco, Calif.

John Pezzenti Killer: On December 3, 2007, police detectives were called to a two-story shack in Anchorage, Alaska, where they found a body, soon identified as acclaimed wildlife photographer John Pezzenti, Jr. With no signs of forced entry or robbery, cops say John knew who pulled the trigger, and they hope that AMW viewers can help solve the murder.
Alexis Flores: Mota DeJesus dreads July 29 every year, the day her 5-year-old daughter, Iriana DeJesus, was lured from her Philadelphia home, raped, and murdered. Every year, she hosts a memorial service to honor her daughter's memory, and this year, AMW was there with her.
Kevin Armstead: In the Baltimore underworld of drugs and crime, police say Kevin Armstead fit right in. But it only took four days after his first AMW appearance for an AMW tipster to lead US Marshals right to Armstead, who was wanted for the brutal murder of an innocent man in Charm City.
Javier Trevino: The Orange County, Fla. Sheriff's Office has teamed up with the U.S. Marshals in Orlando to find Javier Trevino, who police say is responsible for killing a young woman and shattering her family.
Christopher Adams: Police in Colonial Heights, Va. are looking for the man they say sexually molested two girls for almost four years. The trial for Christopher Adams was scheduled for March 29, 2005. Adams never showed up and hasn't been seen since.

Jonathan Ramirez: U.S. Marshals and cops in Colton, Calif. are not relenting in the search for Jonathan Ramirez, wanted for the beating death of a 72-year-old grandfather at a local eatery. Cops say Ramirez and his brother, Omar, savagely beat Enrique Bermudez in May 2006 and fled. Marshals captured Omar in Mexico, but Jonathan remains at large.
Tuen Lee: There were few clues to help police target the attacker who viciously raped a woman in Massachusetts -- except for the suspect's foul breath, which the victim immediately recognized. She says the smell could only be from the manager at the sushi restaurant where she worked: Accused "Bad Breath Rapist" Tuen "Dickie" Lee.
Erick Morales: On May 21, 2001, 15-year-old high school student Quetzalcoatl "Quetzal" Alba decided to cut classes with one of his best pals, 16-year-old Erick Morales. But police tell AMW that something went horribly wrong, and Morales stabbed his one-time friend to death before going on the run with his roommate, Reynaldo Maldonado.
James Roberts: Police say Toby Roberts had a mission, and he wasn't going to stop until it was completed. Cops say he tried to kill his girlfriend, and he was so determined, he used three different tools to finish the job. But he might not have known his girlfriend as well as he thought, because she wasn't going down without a major fight.
Brian Barton: Cops say days after his Washington-based band As Fate Would Have It received a contract from a Southern California company, 25-year-old Brian Barton disappeared. Two years later, Brian's family still hasn't given up hope that the young rocker will be reunited with his family.
